"Great times, learned a lot about a
new environment. Loved all the educational aspects and of course those incredible flocks of birds.
Thanks" Ron Winch and Toni Meglitsch, MN.

Copper River Delta Birding Expedition
The Copper River Delta, with its 700,000 acres of rivers, sloughs, ponds and marshes is the largest contiguous wetland on the West Coast of North America. Each spring as shorebirds and neo-tropical migrants make their way from their wintering grounds in Central and South America to their breeding grounds in the Arctic, the Delta comes alive. Upwards of 20 million birds use this rich area as a stopover to rest and feed during their annual migration, more than any other stop-over location on the Pacific Coast of the Americas!
Our fully guided birding expedition gets you to some great locations on the Copper River Delta to see huge concentrations of shorebirds, waterfowl and other migrating birds. Our birding guides are experts in their field and many have traveled the globe to see birds in their native habitats. They can provide valuable insight on bird identification, behavior and biology. In addition to field trips we also offer evening lecture programs that will help you learn more about the local ecology and/or some bird research projects underway.
Our guides work to get you to a variety of habitats to see birds, while keeping your safety and comfort in mind. Field trips include boat trips, van trips and a small airplane trip (weather permitting) to get you to some of the birding hotspots.
Lodging and meals are provided as part of this package at the Captain’s Quarters Lodging
